Vacterra, A Horizon Contracting Group Company, is a forward-thinking company with a cutting-edge disposal facility dedicated to safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible practices. Our team is seeking a skilled Class 1 Driver to support our after-hours operations, using our semi vac truck to transport materials from our Langley dump facility to various disposal sites in the Lower Mainland.

Position Summary:
The Class 1 Driver Semi Vac Operator will play a key role in after-hours operations, responsible for hauling materials from our yard to designated disposal sites. This position is ideal for an experienced driver who can navigate highways and city roads with skill and reliability, working overnight shifts to ensure smooth, continuous operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a semi vac truck safely and efficiently
• Transport materials from our Langley yard to various disposal sites, adhering to designated routes and schedules.
• Maintain awareness of safety and environmental protocols at all times.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on the semi vac to ensure operational readiness.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams to report any issues or delays.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• 5-10 years of driving experience with a Class 1 license, including highway and urban driving.
• Experience operating a semi vac, hydrovac, or combo truck is an asset; however, training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Availability to work full-time night shifts, Monday to Friday with potential daytime or weekend OT.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles.
• Good communication skills and reliability in after-hours operations.

Compensation:

• Competitive $35-40 /hour starting wage (based on experience) plus nightshift differential ($2/hr)
