Student Employee – Community Services
The Town of Tecumseh is accepting resumes for Summer Student – Community Services employment in the Community & Recreation Services Department.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager Facilities & Energy Management, the Student Employee - Community Services will work in a team environment and be responsible for the beautification of municipal properties and provide general facility maintenance of municipal buildings as assigned including the servicing of outdoor washroom facilities and splash pads.
Qualifications and Requirements
The successful candidate must hold a valid Class G Driver's license and be enrolled in a post-secondary institution. Preference will be given to students enrolled in Recreation Management or Facility Maintenance or related educational program and have knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
The ideal candidate will have experience in, facility maintenance, general grounds maintenance, as well as opening and closing of outdoor washrooms and other related janitorial work.
The successful candidate must be available to work 40 hours each week, Monday to Sunday shifts between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. The term of this position is between the months of April 28, 2025 through September 10, 2025.
