The Role:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Machine Operator - HPP, will be responsible for operating the HPP machine on the day shift.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the HPP machine to ensure proper functioning and safe food processing and support the production;
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on the equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition;
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations;
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required;
- Request maintenance and general work orders;
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the HPP machines to minimize downtime;
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies;
- Perform routine pre-operational inspections and other inspections and record operational data such as pressure, temperature, and cycle times;
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding machine performance, any potential issues and defective product;
- Assist in training new employees on machine operation and safety procedures;
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Any other Duties as assigned by the Management, Production Supervisor/Lead Hand.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in machinery operations is an asset;
- Previous experience operating HPP machines in a food manufacturing environment is preferred;
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict quality and safety standards;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team;
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts, as required;
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, etc.) is a plus.
