Cheshire serves frail seniors and persons with significant disabilities to live actively and independently in their own homes and community.

Compensation:

Starting rate of pay $24.28/hour for eligible direct services.

Compensation for Travel Time, Staff Education and Development or Team Meetings at $21.28/hour

PLUS Mileage Reimbursed at $0.43/km as applicable

Part-time employees are eligible to receive 8% in lieu of benefits in addition to vacation.

Return of Service – Government Funded Bonus Program - For those who graduated from a recognized PSW program on or after April 1st, 2023 and commit to at least 12 months of full-time employment, you may be eligible for up to $10,000

Please apply if you possess all of the following:

  • A desire to make a difference in the lives of others, every day.

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)

  • A valid Canadian Driver's License and have regular access to a reliable vehicle

  • Valid automobile insurance with liability coverage

  • Able to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends and understand the nature of our work and the importance of good attendance and reliability.

  • Some caregiving experience is not required, but is an asset

  • A PSW, DSW certificate or experience/education in a similar role is an asset but not required.

  • Successful Candidates will be required to obtain a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check

Schedule: Days, Evenings, Monday to Friday, Nights, On-Call, Overtime, Weekends as Needed and Weekends Only
