Job Description: Heavy Duty Mechanic
Location: Radium Hot Springs, BC
Schedule: Monday-Friday day-shift, with occasional weekend overtime as needed
Starting Rate: $49.31 / hour
Relocation Allowance: $5,000 - $7,000

GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join the maintenance team at our open-pit mine near Radium Hot Springs, BC. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires relocation to the area.Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain heavy construction equipment, including haul trucks, bulldozers, excavators, and graders.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment.
  • Adjust, repair, and replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.
  • Test equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubrication.
  • Service attachments and tools, including blades, buckets, and booms.
  • Mentor and support apprentice mechanics to develop team expertise.
Requirements
  • Certification: Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification (On/Off Road).
  • Experience: Journeyperson with at least 3 years of experience preferred. (Consideration will be given to 3rd or 4th-year apprentices).
  • Skills: Strong diagnostic and repair capabilities with a focus on safety and efficiency.
