Job Purpose

At Titan, the Event Manager is key to fostering a vibrant and supportive culture while enhancing awareness of the Titan brand through a variety of engaging events. We are looking for a talented Event Manager. This role prioritizes building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deploy brand awareness and corporate events. The ideal candidate will skillfully manage a multitude of events and a supporting team. They will excel in meeting deadlines with agility while ensuring alignment with organizational needs, strategic goals, and objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and coordination of events both internal and external.
  • Build and maintain relationships with event team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Manage event logistics, including accommodations, catering, meeting room setup, audiovisual needs, and program production.
  • Delegate tasks accordingly and keep team members informed throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to generate ideas and to develop a strategy for promoting events across various channels.
  • Distribute invitations and keep attendees, suppliers, and vendors informed of event details and changes.
  • Research various vendors and suppliers to identify those that best meet the needs of the company and the event.
  • Lead the end-to-end event planning process, including pre-event preparations, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up, to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Process vendor payments and track expenses to ensure cost efficiency and meet budgetary goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all insurance, legal, and health & safety requirements.
  • Evaluate event performance through feedback and metrics and create post-event reports to inform future planning.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Recreation Management, Business Administration or Public Relations with relevant event experience, or a diploma/certificate in Event Planning, Event Management, or Hospitality from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of in depth in event management experience with a breadth of event types; including tradeshows, in person educational sessions, webinars, and other corporate initiatives such as charity events, social events, customer appreciation events, and facility grand openings.
  • Experience managing an event support team and working with both internal and external event stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to support the successful execution of events.
  • Proficient in utilizing various Microsoft Office applications and project management software
  • Familiar with event performance monitoring techniques and the ability to generate reports to enhance future event planning initiatives.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments and skilled at managing projects with multiple components.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong business relationships.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and able to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong prioritization, organizational, and time management skills with a track record of follow-through.
  • Ability to understand and address the needs of attendees.
  • Experience in budget creation and management is preferred.
  • Previous experience in implementing marketing initiatives and knowledge of the construction industry is considered an asset.

Other Information

  • This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5pm).
  • This position is open to candidates based in our le-des-Chnes, Manitoba office, with the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Wage will depend on the qualifications of the candidate.
