Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding using fixtures and jigs, operating machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, and adhering to all Health & Safety policies and procedures. Additionally, you will work in a collaborative team environment to ensure orders are completed on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding using fixtures and jigs
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, breakdowns, and blueprints
- Operate machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Work in a team environment to complete orders on time
- Handle and move large pieces of metal, requiring physical strength and stamina
- Use precision measurement instruments
- Understand the importance of producing quality products
- Work unsupervised in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of welding experience
- High level of proficiency in welding standards
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of glazing materials and metal fabrication for window applications preferred
- Familiarity with the mass transportation industry is a plus
- Strong ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals
- Respirator required for this position
- Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is considered an asset
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move large pieces of metal
- Standing or sitting for extended periods
- Physical strength and stamina required
