Job Description

As the Senior Manager of Business Development, you will play a critical role in building, coaching, and enabling the business development team responsible for driving pipeline across mid-market and enterprise accounts in North America and EMEA.You will be responsible for partnering with Sales and Marketing leaders to achieve critical sales targets for revenue growth and provide strategic guidance on how to effectively generate interest in Rewind.

The Senior Manager, Business Development will collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders across the organization, making strong interpersonal and communication skills essential. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, backed by a proven track record of driving sales pipeline and meeting revenue targets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of ambitious outbound-driven pipeline target for mid-market and enterprise accounts

  • Building and developing a high-performing team of SDRs and BDRs by recruiting, coaching, and mentoring them into successful revenue drivers for Rewind.

  • Building the foundations for outbound prospecting and inbound qualification efforts to develop repeatable, efficient processes that drives the creation of qualified pipeline opportunities

  • Leveraging cutting-edge technologies, such as AI, to increase efficiency at scale

  • Collaborating with Product Marketing, Demand Generation and Sales to develop and continuously optimize prospecting messaging

  • Building strong internal relationships between BDRs/SDRs and Sales AEs to collaborate on account strategy plans

  • Developing effective workflows in partnership with Demand Generation to maximize the conversion return for inbound lead flow

  • Analyzing funnel performance and leading the drive for conversion improvement

  • Partnering with Demand Generation and Sales to develop ABM plays into prioritized strategic accounts

  • Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for BDRs and SDR

  • Supporting annual funnel forecast target setting to achieve increased YoY revenue growth

  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and incorporating relevant insights, technology (e.g., AI) and tactics to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications

You have at least 6 years of experience in sales related roles, including 2+ years of leading Business Development or Sales Development teams in a B2B SaaS environment.

You also have:

  • A consistent track record of exceeding sales pipeline goals

  • Strong validated experience and knowledge with B2B prospecting methodologies and best practices, including email copywriting, cold calling, objection handling and discovery qualification

  • Experience in developing and implementing proven strategic outbound and inbound processes, and enablement to increase team efficiencies

  • Deep knowledge and experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, Zoominfo, Gong, and Sales Navigator

  • Excellent problem-solving, listening and communication skills with strong executive presence

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and strategy development

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field

  • SaaS data backups and recovery industry knowledge and AI-driven prospecting experience is a plus, but not required

Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees work from the office three days/week. This role will be based out of our Ottawa office.
