The Town of Wasaga Beach is now accepting resumes for full-time and part-time summer seasonal employment (May until September 2025) for the position of Municipal Bylaw Enforcement Officer.
Municipal By-Law Enforcement Officers are responsible for: receiving and resolving complaints regarding the following By-Laws; Noise, Fire, Littering, Animal Control, Business Licensing, Parking, Clean Yards and Property Standards, etc. Officers will maintain a daily notebook and file detailed reports on each occurrence and issue Provincial Offence Notices and Parking Infraction Notices in accordance with the Provincial Offences Act, using tact and diplomacy at all times.
The Municipality will supply appropriate uniforms to the successful applicants; however appropriate black footwear will be the responsibility of each individual.
Qualifications:
  • Preference will be given to those registered in a full-time secondary/post-secondary program, Law or related, in the next academic year (recent graduates may be considered);
  • Previous enforcement experience considered an asset;
  • Must have good public relations & communication skills;
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts; including days, evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays – including the ability to work the Labour Day long weekend;
  • Physically fit;
  • Possess valid First Aid and CPR certificates;
  • Valid Class “G” Ontario drivers' license preferred;
  • Able to provide an appropriate criminal records check and drivers' abstract upon hire.
Hourly Range: $19.15-$20.71; 40 to 44 hours/week
*Please note: There is the potential for this position to continue part-time from September to November 2025.
