O2E Brands is looking for a Learning Specialist to join our growing team! As part of the People and Culture department, you will play an integral role in the design, development, and continuous improvement of the learning & development processes and programs. You are passionate about learning and personal development. This includes staying updated on the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of Learning & Development. You are creative, innovative, and thrive in a collaborative environment where you often work with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify learning needs and co-create effective learning solutions that support organizational success.

Starting January 2025, all team members in Vancouver and Toronto will be required to work in-office every other week, for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). To support business priorities, core hours of attendance will be mandatory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these days.

A Day In The Life

  • Partner with our brand leaders, communications and field operations teams to design, develop and support the virtual deployment of various franchise-facing training materials
  • Verify and build content and support system deployment of onboarding and operations management training programs
  • Engage with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the business to analyze training and development needs, and creating the right content for the right audience
  • Partner with our Head Office department leads to design and develop professional development and skill-building programs
  • Design and develop content suitable for a variety of delivery channels (e.g. face-to-face, publications, e-learning)
  • Coach and assist Subject Matter Experts in learning delivery & facilitation
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to research, identify and communicate new learning solutions to address existing gaps in the organization
  • Collaborate with project management support to ensure project milestones are identified, met, and communicated
  • Support the training facilitation team, and potentially jump in to assist in a pinch

What You Bring To The Table

  • 3+ years of Learning & Development success in assessment, design, development and delivery of learning solutions
  • A bachelor's degree, professional designation, technical certification and/or equivalent experience in instructional design, adult education, learning technology or related field
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills for working with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Capable of offering creative instructional designs for a blended learning environment incorporating both synchronous and asynchronous options
  • 2+ years of experience in e-learning design using authoring tools, such as, Articulate Storyline 360
  • Proactive, self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently and virtually with minimal guidance
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, and proactively address change in direction and friction points
  • Comfortable getting work done through others by collaboration and influence in order to achieve shared objectives

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary $55,000 - $76,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
