The Role:

Canco is seeking a driven and detail-orientedHuman Resources Coordinator to support key functions for HR. The right candidate will develop a deep understanding of the day-to-day processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Support HR Team and employees with day-to-day HR tasks and inquiries.
  • Support with maintaining employee documentation in HRIS systems.
  • Assist hiring managers with posting job ads on career pages.
  • Assist with employee hiring, onboarding and offboarding admin tasks.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating interviews, conducting initial phone screenings, and facilitating communication between hiring managers and candidates.
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs, campus recruitment events, and other talent acquisition initiatives, as needed.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including the preparation of orientation, presentation, materials, training, and schedules.
  • Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize new hires with company policies, culture, and benefits and ensuring new employees complete necessary paperwork
  • Assist in enrolling employees to the benefits programs.
  • Assist HR Team in the resolution of employee relations issues by conducting initial investigations.
  • Support HR in preparing general documentation as required including editing and formatting documents, reports, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Support with organizing and executing staff events, etc.
  • Other duties as required, including general administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in HR or related roles.
  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience and Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms (Bamboo HR and Payworks) is preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. Relevant experience is a plus.
