About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Information Technology Operations Manager to join our growing real estate company with 225+ employees. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, IT Strategy and Enterprise Solutions. The primary focus is on enhancing and optimizing IT Department operations to align with the organizations business objectives, delivering exceptional support to end users, and drive project success and efficiency.
The IT Operations Manager will be instrumental in ensuring reliable, high-performance application, system, network, and infrastructure support across the Regional Group of Companies. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the long-term transformation of the organizations technology landscape.
The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional with a creative and analytical mindset, capable of collaborating effectively with IT team members, other departments, and managers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. Additionally, the candidate will lead the operations teams day-to-day activities to efficiently deliver services that create positive business impacts for The Regional Group of Companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees the processing of accounts payable and establishes and communicates the AP and expense reimbursement policies and approval limits.
- Oversees all Property Management activities.
- Supervises the AP and PM team members by providing direction, motivation and training to maintain performance and quality of service.
- Formulates recommendations to improve A/P processes in general.
- Ensures effective, efficient operations by monitoring performance, quality of service and adherence to good accounting principles.
- Leads development of operational AP policies and procedures to maximize service quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Acts as key contact to all external groups which affect / are affected by the AP process.
Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Collaborate with the Senior Director, IT Strategy and Enterprise Solutions, to develop and execute a forward-looking IT strategy.
- Lead IT initiatives that enhance business operations and support organizational growth.
- Stay informed about and implement emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Manage the approved IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions that deliver maximum value.
- Ensure implementation of IT policy and best practices for the organization
System and Network Management
- Oversee the maintenance, upgrading, and security of the companys IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
- Ensure seamless integration and optimization of property management systems, CRM platforms, and accounting tools.
- Develop and maintain robust system backups, disaster recovery plans, and data security protocols.
Team Leadership and Development
- Proactively address and resolve, or support IT staff in resolving operational IT issues to ensure seamless technology usage for the business and its clients.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance availability and performance by researching and proposing innovative improvements.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of innovation and adaptability within the IT team.
- Provide technical training and support to staff to improve overall IT literacy.
- Act as a primary role model in adopting and promoting new technologies across the organization.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management
- Partner with third-party vendors and service providers to deliver high-quality IT solutions.
- Manage relationships with technology suppliers.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders to provide updates on IT projects and performance metrics.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and policies.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and address potential risks.
About You:
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience in the real estate industry or similar sectors is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
- Proficiency in property management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI), CRM tools, and accounting software.
- Expertise in cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and data management.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics tools.
