Fleetwood Metal Industries, a division Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Tool & Die Maker in our Tillsonburg, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for ensuring tooling meets process expectations. The ideal candidate will have good manual dexterity, be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Primary Responsibilities:
- Compute dimensions and tolerances to set up machinetools
- Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out formachining
- Assemble/disassemble parts to test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation
- Directly work with suppliers to print, design, or build situations to ensure toolexpectations are met
- Analyze manufacturing repairs and adjustments to formulatesolutions in standardized situations
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of related work experience
- Trade certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate oral and written instructions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Able to work 3-shift model: Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OT
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment
