GET TO KNOW THE ROLE

As a Commercial Plumbing Estimation Specialist, your day kicks off with reviewing blueprints, specs, and project plans, diving deep into every detail to create precise, reliable plumbing estimates for high-profile commercial projects. You perform material and labor takeoffs, analyze potential costs, and prepare competitive bids that align with Wiehler's commitment to excellence. Working closely with vendors and subcontractors, you ensure every proposal is spot-on, always mindful of both cost-effectiveness and quality. Your role is key to driving project success and client satisfaction.

• Location: You will be based at our Calgary, AB office, with occasional travel to job sites.
• Hours: This position is full-time, working a standard Monday-Friday 7am-4pm.

What You Need to Succeed:

• 3+ years in commercial plumbing estimating, with a successful track record in large-scale projects
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, methods, and local building codes
• Proficiency in estimating software (such as Tradesware), Microsoft Office, and other industry tools
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy
• Excellent communication and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of BIM and LEED standards
• Certification as a plumbing estimator
