Our Information Technology group has an opportunity based out of one of our corporate offices either: Vancouver or Quesnel BC Canada for a:

SharePoint and Power Platform Specialist

Reporting to the Manager of IT Collaboration & Controls, the SharePoint and Power Platform Specialist will have well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft SharePoint Online architecture and its integration with M365, with a strong focus on developing and administrating Power Platform and Power App solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement SharePoint and Power Platform based solutions that enhance collaboration, streamline business processes, and improve productivity.

You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using SharePoint and Power Platform Apps
  • Provide analysis, technical guidance, and approaches to automating and enhancing business processes by leveraging Microsoft 365 capabilities including SharePoint, Teams, Forms, Power Apps, and Power Automate
  • Provide functional and technical M365 and SharePoint support to the business community
  • Elicit and document functional requirements from stakeholders, deciding whether to map the requirements to out-of-the-box SharePoint Online feature set or to custom develop required solutions
  • Build, maintain and collaborate strong working relationships with customers, IT Business Partners, and technical staff
  • Present integrity, initiative, coordination, facilitation, communication, and accountability in all interactions
  • Proactively investigate new feature sets within the M365 and SharePoint product offering emerging technologies
  • Ensure documentation is properly initiated, authorized, and maintained
  • Ensure all solutions are adequately tested according to test plan and utilizing Power Platform's ALM – Application Lifecycle Management for Power App solutions

You'll Have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience or relevant experience in creating and maintaining SharePoint sites, page lists, libraries, and document sets, with at least 3 years of experience administrating and developing specially within SharePoint Online
  • Experience in analyzing, designing, and delivering SharePoint solutions based primarily in out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionality, with at least 2 years of experience building Power Automate (Flow) solutions
  • Experience in managing permissions at the site collection, subsite, list/library, and item/document levels, with at least 2 years of experience with permission management specifically in SharePoint Online
  • Implementing and promoting best practices in SharePoint content management and taxonomy is highly desired
  • Microsoft Purview: DLP/ Sensitivity Labels and a strong level of understanding of compliance in the SharePoint environment would be an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working collaboratively with other developers, technical analysts, vendor partners, business, and operational staff
  • 3+ years of experience in the development of business requirements and translating those business needs into functional and technical requirements
  • Expertise with SharePoint Online (SPO), M365 platform (e.g., Teams, Power Platform, OneDrive, Outlook, etc.) Advanced knowledge and experience with Power Platform is preferred
  • MS Copilot application knowledge and functional User proficiency is an asset
  • Solid experience in SharePoint support, and understanding of the features, associated uses, web parts including search, highlighted content web part using custom queries, list formatting, term store, and managed metadata
  • Well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of the Microsoft 365 and SharePoint architecture from both a technical and functional perspective, plus backend and frontend support
  • Experience with other related applications like PowerShell and Sharegate would be an asset
  • Organizational change management and project management experience would be a plus
  • Professional team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business and IT professionals at all levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Microsoft Certifications in related field would be an asset

Compensation Package:

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The annual salary range is between

    $90,526-$106,400

  • Annual bonus opportunity
