Reports To: Production Manager
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facility Supervisor to oversee the cleaning and maintenance operations of both office, retail and warehouse spaces. The Facility Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently upheld, while also managing a team of cleaners and overseeing their schedules, performance, and task assignments. This role requires strong organizational skills, leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Production Manager and other team members.
Qualifications:- Previous experience in a supervisory role within cleaning, facilities management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of cleaning processes, techniques, and equipment.
- Experience with shift scheduling and team management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to provide training and mentorship to team members.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Physically capable of performing cleaning tasks if required (lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending).
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Friendly and approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
- Standing for extended periods while supervising or assisting with cleaning tasks.
- Walking throughout office and warehouse areas.
- Lifting and pushing cleaning equipment or supplies (up to 50 lbs).
- Reaching to inspect high surfaces or oversee laundry tasks, occasionally using a step ladder.
- Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations across office and warehouse areas.
- Create and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage for cleaning and laundry tasks, including weekends and evenings as needed.
- Assign tasks to cleaners and monitor their performance to ensure quality standards are met.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance for new and existing team members.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company standards.
- Address and resolve staff or operational issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain records of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and employee schedules.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager to manage budgets and order necessary supplies.
- Report equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or safety concerns to the Production Manager.
- Prepare and submit performance evaluations for team members.
- Assist with cleaning tasks as necessary to ensure operational needs are met.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment, including Walk-Behind Floor Scrubbers.
- Support team members with laundry tasks, including sorting, washing, and folding items as needed.
- Verify that all tasks are completed thoroughly and on time.
- Enforce safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with waste disposal and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Address and report any unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
- Participate in and lead safety training sessions and drills.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among cleaning staff.
- Interact professionally with staff, customers, and visitors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
- Full-time hours with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring adequate coverage during all shifts.
- Supervisory: 2 years (preferred).
- Cleaning: 2 years (preferred).
- Experience with shift scheduling and team management (preferred).
- Familiarity with floor scrubbers or similar equipment (preferred).
