The ROLE

As a Senior Therapist at ROCK, you will provide consultation, assessment, and treatment to children, youth, and their families. You will use a variety of therapeutic modalities including individual, family, parent-child, and group interventions. Your responsibilities will include coordinating cases, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, and mentoring junior staff to ensure the highest quality of care. You will also contribute to program development, supervise students, and ensure accurate clinical documentation. This role requires someone who can stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement in the services provided. This position is for a permanent part-time and permanent full time role.

Who were looking for:

  • A relevant masters degree from a recognized university.
  • Registration with an accrediting professional body is required (i.e. College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Psychologists of Ontario, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
  • A minimum of 8 years of clinical experience, including family, individual, and group therapy.
  • Expertise in trauma treatment, CBT, DBT, systemic family therapy, and other evidence-based approaches.
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families facing mental health challenges.
  • Strong communication and mentorship skills.
  • Proficiency in working with technology, including experience in virtual environments and familiarity with MAC OS operating systems.
  • Current criminal reference check with vulnerable sector search (within the past three months).
