Job Summary
As a Personal Support Worker/Caregiver, youll play a key role in improving the lives of our clients by providing personalized care and support. Reporting to the Care Coordinator, youll deliver services that meet each clients unique needs in a safe and caring environment.

We are looking for a compassionate and friendly Personal Support Worker (PSW) to assist a male client with companionship and various daily tasks. The ideal candidate should be a social individual who enjoys engaging with others and providing meaningful support.
Days: Monday and Friday 10AM - 2PM
Responsibilities include:
- Companionship and Social Activities**: Playing board games, engaging in light exercises (e.g., walking with a walker around the block or in the apartment building), and accompanying the client to visit family, friends, or attend programs/events at Baycrest or Wellspring.
- Home Assistance**: Organizing closets, cupboards, drawers, and documents/papers, as well as general tidying of the apartment.
- Personal Care**: Supervising showering (being present in the apartment), assisting with dressing, personal grooming (e.g., haircuts), and maintaining hygiene.
- Meal Preparation**: Assisting with food preparation or cooking meals together.
- Weekly Planning**: Helping plan activities and tasks for the upcoming week.
- Errands and Outings**: Accompanying the client to coffee shops, libraries, restaurants, or for grocery shopping. Tasks also include trips to pharmacies, non-medical appointments (e.g., eyeglasses, massage, therapy), bloodwork appointments, and retail shopping for clothes, shoes, or household goods.

Job Summary
As a Personal Support Worker/Caregiver, youll play a key role in improving the lives of our clients by providing personalized care and support. Reporting to the Care Coordinator, youll deliver services that meet each clients unique needs in a safe and caring environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with morning and evening care routines.
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping to ensure a comfortable home environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist clients with ambulation, outings, and errands.
- Support with medication reminders and basic health tasks.
- Follow and update care plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
- Help clients manage daily activities with care and dignity.
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (e.g., foreign-trained nurse, nursing student with at least one year of training).
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Clear Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening) or willingness to obtain one.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
- Reliable internet access and a mobile phone.
- Experience with Dementia/Alzheimers care is an asset.
