Prairie Co-op operates 12 retail locations in the communities of Melville, Fort QuAppelle, Lipton, Cupar, Strasbourg, Ituna and Kelliher, with over 12,000 members.
Were looking for a dedicatedPharmacy Managerto oversee and guide the pharmacy team. In this pivotal role, youll oversee all aspects of pharmacy management, including supervising staff, optimizing workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining accurate inventory control. You will play a key role in implementing initiatives to enhance customer service, improve patient outcomes, and achieve business objectives.
As a Pharmacy Manager, youll also serve as a mentor and resource for your team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that prioritizes excellence and innovation. Responsibilities:
- Exercise professional judgement and practice within federal, provincial, legal, and regulatory requirements, the provincial code of ethics, standards of practice and policies.
- Demonstrate professional integrity and uphold a high level of professional standards.
- Provide patient focused services and professional advice/counselling on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, and health related issues to patients.
- Provide patient focused services such as injections, medication reviews, and minor ailment prescribing to maximize patient care.
- Provide professional advice and counselling on prescription and OTC medications including indications, dosage, adverse effects, and drug interactions
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with health care professionals in the community.
- Collaborate with other health care professionals daily to ensure the continuity of care and proper handling of a patients varying health concerns
- Responsible to provide an exceptional level of customer service and maintain a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards.
Qualifications:
- Have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Phm.) or a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized institution.
- Have an injection certification, current licensure, and good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals.
- Have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
