We're committed to nurturing talent and providing growth opportunities in a dynamic environment where innovation shapes the future of nutritional health.Purpose of the Position:The Key Account Manager is responsible for maximizing product sales for a group of strategic accounts that represent approximately $6 - $12M in annual revenue. Some of the main expectations of the role are having regular contact/visits (virtual/ in person meetings & telephone calls) with customers, managing multiple customer projects, gathering channel market intelligence, and prioritizing company resources required to deliver new business with current customers. The role will also work closely with their designated Customer Service Representative to maintain accurate forecasts, implement contracts and ensure customer needs are being met.
Responsibilities & Expectations:- Prepares and manages annual budget for each year (including budget by customer), while focusing on planning, developing and executing customer strategies to meet and exceed revenue and profitability budgets.
- Monitors and reports any expenses, to ensure they fall within Company guidelines and budget.
- Creates pre-call prep approach plans prior to meeting with customers.
- Works with marketing to develop successful customer specific presentations for targeted products.
- Develops and maintains Bioriginal customer service standards (i.e. responding to customer emails or phone calls within 24 hours).
- Analyzes sales reports by product, price and volume to determine business growth potential.
- Evaluates, monitors and provides market information (i.e competitor information) and shares with the sales team and other internal stakeholders as appropriate.
- Utilizes company Salesforce CRM system to track and document customer calls, visits and pipeline opportunities, while also ensuring all customer profiles and information is kept up-to-date.
- Possibility of attending industry related tradeshows in Canada and abroad. Develop and execute on any strategies at each trade show attendance.
- Works with the customer service team to ensure that sales forecasts are current and entered into the Company's forecasting system.
- Prepares a key account strategic review during Q4 of every year that summarizes performance, key customers, key products and opportunities and presents to the sales and other internal stakeholders as appropriate.
- Ensures any changing sales forecasts are entered/revised as necessary.
- Attends and participates in regular sales and marketing calls, as well as any other meetings as invited to do so.
- Works collaboratively with various other internal departments as required (i.e. manufacturing, supply chain, business development, etc.).
- Bachelor's Degree in relatable field is strongly desired. Masters degree in a related field is an asset.
- A minimum of 3-5 years B2B/B2C of sales leadership experience is required, with a preference for sales experience within pharmaceutical, health/wellness, human and/or animal nutrition industries.
- Must be capable of working independently and within a team.
- Strong communication, relationship building, entrepreneurial, negotiation and problem-solving skills are required.
