We manage projects from construction to property management encompassing a complete design/build. Our work ranges from the management and development of completely new builds, refurbishments, and fit outs for Companies.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cost Control Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of cost accounting functions including job costing, profitability and variance analysis (Cost/Price/Margin), Inventory valuation, reconciling and auditing, complex, non-standard accounting and financial analysis.
- Develop and maintain a profitability analysis by revenue type, operational division, etc. as well as benchmarking and operating efficiently targets
- Coordinate monthly procedures related to month-end activities (accruals for revenues and costs)
- Prepare detailed cash, cost and revenue forecasts, including reporting to management
- Prepare monthly job analysis of expenses and revenue to review with management
- Creation and daily review of variance reports and review variance against plan to ensure effective management of financial impacts of departmental decisions
- Explaining financials and reserves to internal and external audit
- Ensuring that all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
- University degree in Finance or Business Administration, with preference to those holding or pursuing a professional accounting designation (such as CA, CPA, CMA)
- Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Solid understanding of Information Systems and MS Excel (familiarity with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
