Job DescriptionGeneral Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada is seeking a co-op student to join the Mobile Domain System Engineering team. This opportunity will be a combination of working remotely and on-site and ideally be for a 12-16 month term.
The successful candidate will participate in designing new system capabilities requested by the customer. The successful candidate will work closely with the customer, product teams and engineers from the Mobile Domain as well as other domains to ensure the proper design is captured and documented. The successful candidate will also support various SW and FW development teams in the overall product life cycle to ensure the implementation and testing is in accordance with the design.
In this role you can expect to:
- Provide system and product level design and support for the Mobile Domain within LCSS.
- Document system and subsystem requirements specifications, interface control documents, design documents and use cases.
- Manage System Problem Reports (SPRs) and Observations by providing proper upfront analysis and input to support bug fixes as well as seeing the proper close out of each SPR.
- Interface with GDMS-C systems engineers, supporting product development teams and system integration teams as well as external subcontractors.
- Support internal and DLCSPM/IPT (Integrated Project Team) meetings on an as-needed basis.
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or related technical/scientific degree;
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, extending to technical writing and documentation;
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
