Job Description

Join our Spa Team as a Spa Supervisor, where you have the opportunity to learn and grow in a Relais & Chateaux property, also recognized by Forbes, Michelin (Two Keys), AAA 4-Diamond, and T&L's World's Best Hotel.

With treatments inspired by the rainforest and coast, our practitioners, estheticians, coordinators and attendants work together to provide personalized service and create a relaxing environment for our guests.

As a Spa Supervisor you will:

  • Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards.
  • Support and assist the Spa Manager as they are responsible and accountable for the actions of all Spa Team Members. Work as a “hands-on” supervisor assisting the team as they strive to meet or exceed guests' expectations.
  • Be the contact person for all guests or team members who may be requiring immediate assistance from the Spa Supervisor, and/or follow up with guest concerns as necessary.
  • Handle Receptionist/Coordinator duties such as reservation calls, welcoming guest to the spa, cashier and cash-outs, coordinating practitioner schedule and appointments and other administration duties.
  • Be knowledgeable of all services and treatments offered by the Ancient Cedars Spa.
  • Be knowledgeable of all products sold from the Ancient Cedars Spa, perform retail inventory, and order products including back-bar and process e-commerce orders.
  • Participate in Retail programs. Provide assistance, guiding and coaching to other Spa Team Members in regards to retail sales, whether in Team meetings, or on a 1-on-1 basis.
  • Assist in spa cleaning and organization of all areas of the spa. Oversee the duties of Spa Attendants, directing and assisting as needed.
  • Participate in all Human Resource functions within the Spa Department, as directed by the Spa Manager.
  • Be responsible for training and training materials for the Coordinator and Attendant Team as directed by the Spa Manager.
  • Be true to Our Promise, meet and exceed the service philosophies and standards of the Inn.
Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will embody the West Coast culture, while still being committed to the art of hospitality and pursuit of excellence. They will have:

  • The willingness to learn in a team environment while striving to exceed Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards.
  • Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous spa product line knowledge would be an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative thinking and ability to multi-task.
  • The ability to organize the guest bookings for spa practitioners and deal with guests in a professional manner.
  • Previous experience of 1 year in another spa, or a full-service hotel, would be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Pro-Salon, Excel, Word, and internet applications would be preferred.
  • The Ability to embrace the philosophies of wellness and healing through spa experiences.
  • Exemplary customer service skills and a demonstrated willingness to exceed guest expectations.
  • Contribute and assist in creating a positive atmosphere for learning & development for the Spa Team Members.
  • Ability to make a 24-month commitment to the position.

Salary/Wage: $49,750.00 per year.
