Proposal and Business Development Specialist
MGA is looking for a dynamic Proposal and Business Development Specialist to join our growing team. This key role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, focused on driving new business and developing high-quality proposals that reflect our award-winning, sustainable approach to architecture. This role can be based on-site at our offices in Victoria or Vancouver, with allowance for some remote work.

Key Responsibilities
1. Proposal Leadership
- Take ownership of the full proposal lifecycle, from drafting to submission, ensuring that each proposal is compelling, strategically aligned, and of the highest quality.
- Formalize and streamline the go/no-go process to evaluate opportunities and ensure alignment with MGA's strategic goals.
- Work closely with MGA's leadership, including Principals, to develop tailored proposals that reflect our core values of innovation, sustainability, and community.
- Organize and maintain a library of proposal templates and assets for efficiency and consistency.
2. Business Development & Opportunity Management
- Research and identify new business opportunities within public and private sectors, with a focus on projects aligned with MGA's mission, including sustainability and mass timber.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, serving as a confident and professional representative of MGA in client-facing situations.
- Manage leads and track opportunities using CRM software (CMAP), ensuring a strategic and organized approach to business development.
3. Marketing & Communication Strategy
- Develop and update marketing materials, including project sheets, presentations, and brochures, to support business development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to align proposal efforts with MGA's broader business strategy.
- Represent MGA at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities, acting as an ambassador for our brand and values.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in business development, proposal management, or marketing within AEC, with at least 1+ years' experience in Architecture.
- A strong understanding of proposal requirements specific to the industry.
- Proficiency in InDesign and experience with CRM tools.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and visual, with the ability to craft narratives that align with MGA's values.
- A collaborative, professional demeanor that enables effective communication with clients, partners, and colleagues, including senior leadership.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and resourceful, with a passion for quality and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a highly collaborative team environment.

Location & Work Environment
This role is hybrid, with the option for candidates to be based in Vancouver or Victoria. A mix of in-office (3-4 days) and remote work (1-2 days) is available, with a focus on collaboration, flexibility, and personal accountability.
