Reporting to the Portfolio & Marketing Manager, theSales and Marketing Coordinator's mandate is to handle BC Liquor Board applications, develop and distribute marketing materials, manage event calendars, and coordinate POS materials and special events. This role supports the sales team, manages social media, and coordinates winery visits. The ideal candidate has industry experience, graphic design skills, strong communication abilities, and a valid passport for business travel.

  • Manage/submit Marketing and Listing applications to BC Liquor Board. Includes new product listings, image program, shelf talkers & neck-tags, image programs, value-add, tastings, TASTE Magazine, etc.
  • Design and develop and manage distribution of marketing/sales material to reps, liquor boards and customers.
  • Create and maintain annual calendar of programs, consumer and trade tastings and events
  • Production, sourcing, coordination, and distribution of POS for approved LDB programs and delivery to LDB.
  • Assist with Special events including Vancouver international Wine Festival, BCLS in-store tastings,
  • Coordinating winery supplier visits creating agendas, organizing samples, etc.
  • Assist in the coordination and follow-up of regular media sample submissions and media programs
  • Managing the company social media accounts.
  • Support sales team with presentations/form submissions/etc.
  • Ensure all bottle shots/material is up to date on account websites/e commerce portals.

  • Additional duties as directed by BC Portfolio & Marketing Manager

The Ideal Candidate Should:

  • Industry experience preferred - familiar with alcohol beverage. Two years related experience.
  • Coordinator or administrative experience in a similar role
  • Be proficient in excel, word processing and graphic design skills, especially Photoshop, CS4, & InDesign, effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Be a self-starter who is eager to advance their career with a keen eye for innovation.
  • Have the ability to see the big picture to improve communication messages based on the target market.
  • Have the ability to read and analyze statistics for targeting & effectively build sales
  • Have the ability to execute high standards of performance and work within tight deadlines to advance the company.
  • Maintain a valid passport for business related travel.
  • Own or have regular access to a vehicle.
