About The Role:
The purpose of the Sales Executive position is to increase the existing customer base for the company. The primary focus of the Sales Executive is to locate and qualify new prospects by generating interest in the companys services and products.
You'll excel in the role if you have a business background and know how to manage relationships. You should have a strong technical aptitude and be patient, dedicated, and easy to work with. This is a dynamic environment where things move fast, and your day could change on a dime. You have to be committed to serving clients and committed to the highest levels of client service, with no exceptions.
You Should Know:
- This is a full-time, permanent position.
- Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm - you need to be available to internal and external clients.
- The candidate MUST be local to Ottawa.
- This is a Hybrid work role. Expect to work in the office 4 days per week.
- Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for cold calling, prospecting and qualifying new sale opportunities.
- Effectively communicate features and benefits of solutions and manage prospect expectations.
- Receive requests for service and products details from prospects and provide timely responses.
- Achieve and maintain a positive rapport with prospects and work to give them the best possible service.
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the service offerings of the company.
- Properly enter all sales leads and prospects into ConnectWise in a timely manner.
- Perform sales procedures through activities and opportunities in ConnectWise and remain compliant with defined policies and procedures.
- Work through a daily list of sales activities.
- Execute the sales plan and strategy in place for growing assigned leads & prospects.
- Responsible for creating & autonomously managing their sales pipeline.
- Responsible for outbound lead generation activities.
- Research & identify contacts in our ICP and qualifies prospects to bring them into the sales cycle.
- Creating and managing leads in CRM through alongside marketing campaigns.
- Nurture leads into opportunities and manage the entire sales cycle
- Accountable for sales targets and KPI achievement
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend weekly sales meetings and ensure sales opportunities are compliant with company policy
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalogue and how it relates to customer's needs
- Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for entering time and expenses in PSA as it occurs
- Understand processes in PSA by completing assigned training materials and blueprints on the PSA University
- Enter all work as activities into PSA/CRM
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
- Sales experience with selling similar offerings.
- Possess a track record of prospecting, qualifying, and managing customer commitment as a part of the sales process.
- Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships.
- Proficient with general office applications.
- Enjoy working with customers and external audiences.
- High energy and drive with good negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Skill in preparing written communications and materials.
- Interpersonal skills: such as telephone skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
- Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment.
Here's What We're Looking For:
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business or Communication, plus 2 years working experience.
- Exceptional client service orientation.
- Great communication skills in English (French language skills are an asset).
- Patient, dedicated, resourceful, and determined. You support clients all the way through their toughest requirements.

- Interpersonal skills: such as telephone skills, communication skills, active listening, and client care.

- Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide services.
- Typing skills that ensure quick and accurate entry of account details.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
