PTW is hiring aSenior Human Resources Business Partner?to join our team in Rockyview County!The Senior Human Resources Business Partnerserves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership teams, delivering proactive solutions that drive employee engagement, enhance productivity, and foster a high-performance culture.
A day in the life
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, consult on business needs and advise on the development and execution of comprehensive HR strategies to support organizational objectives.
- Develop succession planning and talent development programs to cultivate a robust pipeline of future leaders within the organization.
- Lead complex employee relations cases, partnering with leadership to resolve conflicts and address issues that impact employee morale and performance. Act as a mediator and advisor on sensitive HR matters, providing high-level recommendations for resolution.
- Drive change management efforts, including organizational restructuring, mergers, or acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with business priorities. Partner with leadership to assess and implement organizational development and effectiveness initiatives.
- Work with the HR Director to develop and implement competitive compensation strategies that align with company's goals, industry standards, and budgeting constraints.
- Lead compensation analysis and reviews and provide recommendations to senior leadership for adjustments and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial (Alberta), and local employment laws, as well as company policies and human rights regulations. Develop and communicate HR policies, ensuring they are current and effectively implemented across the organization.
- Lead performance management initiatives, coaching leaders on setting goals, evaluating performance, and building effective development plans. Foster a feedback-rich environment that supports employee growth and aligns with business objectives.
- Mentor and guide junior HR team members, providing professional development opportunities, sharing knowledge, and supporting their growth. Offer coaching and constructive feedback to strengthen team capabilities and ensure consistent delivery of HR services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders (field and corporate), external partners, educational institutions, and other organizations to promote brand recognition and grow talent pipelines. Lead HR initiatives that strengthen organizational culture and community partnerships.
- Utilize HR metrics and data analysis to assess trends, drive continuous improvement, and recommend proactive solutions for the business. Present findings and make data-driven recommendations to senior leaders.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on HR strategy, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SPHR) preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of employment standards, human rights legislation, and Alberta-specific employment law.
- Proven ability to lead and influence at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making in HR.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
