Clariem, an independently owned management consulting firm, is seeking a Market Insights & Operations Manager to help scaling up the company to the next level. This is a "roll-up-the-sleeves" role, working side-by-side with Clariems founder, to think strategically and execute tactically.

In this role you will work as the primary person to keep track of multiple projects and execute day-to-day operations to free up bandwidth for the leadership team. This role is first a "doer" and then a "project manager" or driver role. The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual with 3-7 years of relevant experience (professional services/ consulting company operations) with strong behavioral skills. The person in this role is expected to understand the business context, be highly organized with great interpersonal skills and able to close the strategy execution gap.

This is a contract position with potential transition to full-time employment after 90 days. This role is expected to be a key member of Clariem's core team to build the internal capabilities for the next phase of the company's growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is envisioned with a range of responsibilities. Depending on a candidate's right-fit to drive company growth, the role may be shaped to elevate specific responsibility areas.

STRATEGY SUPPORT: Insights & Analytics

  • Market research & Insights: Serve as a thought partner for leadership to enhance Clariem thought leadership. Conduct market research and synthesize information to generate insights to be used in marketing materials, and offerings development. Serve as owner of the Clariem's market watch capability "staying informed."
  • Offerings & Tools Development: Leverage strategic thinking and combine with your technology skills to create tools to develop tools, templates and ways-of-working/processes to run Clariem operations efficiently. All the tools need to preferably no-code solutions. We use the Microsoft ecosystem and you need to have intermediate skills in a few of the tools along with the aptitude to be comfortable in leveraging a variety of tools to build pragmatic solutions. Tools we often use: Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, PowerApps, Tableau

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

  • Project Planning: Participate in and projectize the conversations to start with projects with good documentation. Requires strong organization and note-taking/ documentation skills
  • Project Management: Monitor the progress on several projects and drive next actions with the team members (SMEs/Consultants). Work with technology vendors to continually enhance website and internal tools used by our team.
  • Operations Specialist/ Execution: Serve as the owner/ keeper of internal processes and improve the Clariem ways-of-working continually.
  • Talent Management: Manage the candidate/talent pool in BambooHR. (This is secondary responsibility)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in professional services. Focus on strategy & operations preferred. MBA an asset
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, Marketing, or Technology
  • Experience working in a start-up environment an asset
  • Advanced structured thinking and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong Business writing skills
  • Expertise in Project Management / Task management Tools, with experience in environment with multiple, short duration projects
  • Intermediate-to-advanced skills & ability to build solutions with business tools like Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, PowerApps, Tableau

Behavioral skills

  • Great listening, communication (written and spoken) and project management skills are critical to success in this role
  • Candidate needs to be a self-starter / responsive and self-organized
  • Ability to understand the strategic context and hands-on / operationally efficient
  • Ability to proactively plan for roadblocks
