LOCATION: KMI Media & Design, Summerside, Prince Edward Island.

HOURS: Full time, permanent. 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

WAGES: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour + benefits. Negotiable based on experience.

We offer a comprehensive suite of services, including website development, graphic design, IT support, vehicle wraps, commercial signage, and consulting, to help businesses establish and expand their brand in today's competitive market.

We seek a meticulous and enthusiastic Graphic Production Specialist to join our dynamic production team. In this hands-on role, you will be a vital part of our sign and graphics creation process, ensuring our clients receive high-quality products that meet their specifications. You will be involved in all aspects of production, from preparing digital files to finishing and installing a wide range of visual communication solutions.

APPLICABLE SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work with precision and accuracy.
  • Experience with large-format printing and laminating equipment is an asset.
  • Familiarity with vinyl application techniques.
  • Comfort working with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work at heights and on ladders, power lifts, and scaffolding.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Neat and professional appearance.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production Preparation:
    • Receive and interpret design files, ensuring they are print-ready.
    • Prepare substrates for printing, including cutting, weeding, and applying transfer tape to vinyl.
    • Operate large format printers and laminators to produce high-quality prints.
    • Perform quality control checks throughout the production process.
  • Sign Fabrication:
    • Assist in fabricating various signs, including cutting, assembling, and finishing.
    • Apply vinyl graphics to substrates, ensuring accurate placement and alignment.
    • Operate sign-making equipment such as vinyl cutters, routers, and heat presses.
  • Vehicle Graphics Installation:
    • Assist in installing vehicle wraps and graphics, including preparing vehicles, applying vinyl, and finishing.
    • Ensure proper alignment and adherence of graphics to vehicle surfaces.
    • Work with a team to complete installations efficiently and effectively.
  • General Shop Duties:
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
    • Assist in receiving and organizing materials and supplies.
    • Interact professionally with clients in the shop and on-site during installations.
