General Responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager - Facilities, the Facilities Foreperson organizes, directs and controls the Town's facility asset management through the effective delivery of maintenance services, capital projects and operational services for municipal buildings and facilities.
Qualifications:
Hourly Wage Range (35 hours/week): $ 48.16 - $ 56.70

- FACTILITIES FOREPERSON
The Town of Wasaga Beach is seeking an effective, progressive leader to join our team in the permanent role of Facilities Foreperson.
General Responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager - Facilities, the Facilities Foreperson organizes, directs and controls the Town's facility asset management through the effective delivery of maintenance services, capital projects and operational services for municipal buildings and facilities.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Secondary School Diploma and a post-secondary school diploma in a related field and/or significant experience in absence of relevant post-secondary education;
- Have a good understanding of the municipal health and safety program;
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all trades and proven project management and organizational skills;
- Effective supervisory skills, preferably in a unionized environment;
- Hold valid workplace associated training certificates and/or experience i.e.: Confined Space, Working at Heights, Propane Handling, First Aid / CPR, Elevated Platform, W.H.M.I.S, Basic Refrigeration, Certified Pool Operator, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to create reports, records and statistics utilizing Microsoft Office and Outlook;
- Ability to interpret plans, maps and other technical drawings;
- Assist with budget preparation as well as Asset Management Planning and software;
- Strong customer service abilities when dealing with the public;
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety standards and best practices related to public health in recreation facilities, Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislation;
- A valid class "G" Ontario drivers' license with an acceptable drivers' abstract;
- An appropriate criminal records or vulnerable sector screening check;
- Able to work various shifts days, evenings, weekends and on-call as well as respond to after-hours calls in a timely manner when required.
