Pitt Meadows Plumbing and Mechanical Systemshas been a leader in the industry for over 40 years. We specialize in pre-fabrication, modular systems and installation of large-scale residential, commercial, institutional, educational, and medical design-build plumbing and mechanical projects.

We are currently looking for an experienced Plumbing & Mechanical Warranty Manager to join our team. This position is full-time, permanent and will be based at our Vancouver office.

Reporting to the Director of Construction & Workforce Planning, the Warranty Manager is responsible for providing customer service, managing and tracking warranties, monitoring and evaluating warranty claims, and working with suppliers and vendors to resolve customer warranty issues, during the warranty period for PMP projects.

Specifically, the Warranty Manager will:

  • Establish and implement warranty-related policies and procedures.
  • Manage warranty processes, claims, and daily warranty operations.
  • Analyze and evaluate warranty data and claims to determine validity, accuracy, and eligibility.
  • Inspect defective supplies and other issues by gathering relevant data.
  • Manage and monitor warranty databases to maintain accurate records.
  • Liaise and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers to address and resolve warranty-related issues.
  • Produce regular reports and analyses on warranty claims and performance metrics.
  • Research and identify opportunities and strategies for efficient warranty claims processing.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with warranty policies and standards.
  • Provide guidance, leadership, and training to team members on warranty processes.
  • Administer warranty costs and budgets, including forecasting and expenses.
  • Monitor and ensure customer satisfaction with warranty service.
  • Collaborate with customer service, quality assurance, and product development teams to identify and resolve recurring issues.
  • Stay updated on developments and innovations in the warranty industry.
  • Research and identify opportunities and strategies for efficient warranty claims processing.
  • Address and resolve warranty queries, complaints, and issues.
  • When not attending to warranty issues, visit sites currently under construction and meet with PMs Superintendents and Forepersons to understand the systems and how they are built to better assist in the warranty period.

Skillset:

Education and Experience:

  • Formal education in Construction Management, Mechanical engineering, or a related field is an asset.
  • A minimum of 6 years in the mechanical construction industry is required.
  • Plumbing Red Seal certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Previous experience managing the Warranty or Service Department for a Mechanical contractor is required.
  • Formal training in construction management would be an asset.
  • Ability to use Bluebeam.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products.
  • Be able to adapt to new systems as they come into practice
  • General understanding of all types of plumbing and mechanical systems
