JPS Construction Group is actively seeking snow removal labourers to join our sidewalk snow removal program this winter. Opportunity for year-round work is available.

The schedule for this position is based on the weather (snowfall) and applicable shop duties. When Edmonton experiences snow accumulation, snow removal labourers are expected to be available on short notice. The average shift is 10 hours with overtime paid after 8 hours.

To be considered for this position:

• Transportation to & from shop in Acheson
• Availability for nightshifts, 7 days a week
• Ability to work up to a 12hr shift (overtime paid after 8 hours)
• Winter Clothing & PPE: winter steel or composite toed boots, gloves, toque, winter jacket, winter pants, face mask

Role and Responsibilities

Clearing snow through the use of shovels, sweepers, snowblowers and blowpacks.

• Use of both solid and liquid de-icer as needed to eliminate slip hazards.
• Ability to work in all weather
• Ability to do physical labour and other strenuous physical tasks
• Workers must be punctual and reliable.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
