As an Acting Child Care and After School Coordinator for 9 months , you'll shape children's lives and ignite your potential for career advancement. Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with New Brunswick Child Care Standards, YMCA curriculum, and Child Protection policies.
  • Plan and implement child-centered programs according to YMCA and provincial standards.
  • Oversee staff, conduct site checks, and manage documentation and administrative tasks.
  • Build relationships with children and families, adapting to their specific needs.
  • Provide direct supervision and performance management for the staff team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • ECE Certificate or equivalent.
  • 2+ years in Child Care, After School, or Youth programs.
  • Flexible with split shifts and various locations.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Team player with feedback orientation.
  • Recruitment and staff management experience is an asset.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • Employment contingent on a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and a cleared Social Development Check
  • Current or willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR.
