DOF Subsea Canada is currently seeking multiple candidates for Chief Cook and Second Cook positions to work on Canadian Flagged Offshore Support Vessels starting long term contracts supporting client activities on the Grand Banks in Q1 2025. Offshore work schedule will be based on a 28-day rotation. We are looking for a motivated and hardworking seafarer who has the passion for a career at sea. Tasks can include, but are not limited to:
- The preparation and cooking of meals;
- Ensure the Galley, fridges, freezers, storerooms and mess rooms are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition;
- Supervision of the catering crew regarding preparation of meals and menus;
- The ability to understand interface relationship between marine and project personnel;
- Able to communicate effectively and articulately at all levels;
- An awareness of International Codes, Standards and Specifications
Requirements
Education & Certificates:
- Transport Canada Ships Cook Certificate of Competency
- STCW MED BS
- Ship Personnel with Designated Security Duties Certificate
- Marine Advanced First Aid and CPR
- Passenger Safety Management Training
- Valid Canadian Passport
- Valid Seafarers Medical
Experience / Knowledge:
- Relevant offshore experience within the marine sector
- Possess a high commitment to safe working practices and working as a team
- Ability to read, write, understand and speak English
- Self-starter, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
