ADGA is currently looking for a “Technical Writer” to support a defence project in Halifax!

We are looking for candidates that have a solid background:

  • Technical writing, creative writing, communications, data analysis, and experience working with Agile teams.
  • You will need to hold a valid Secret level government clearance due to contract requirements.

Tasks include, but not limited to:

  • Script learning activities for the Virtual Fleet and other learning tools.
  • Analyze references and corollate data into usable datasets for the VF and other applications.
  • Corollate and summarize test results.
  • General software documentation.
  • Other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • You must already hold a valid Secret level 2 PSPC/Government clearance.
  • Must be available to go on-site (Halifax office – client location) as and when required, considered a hybrid role.
  • Contract length is asap thru 31 March 2025 (possible extension)
  • The ideal candidate has a Bachelors' degree or better in Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the last 5 years performing at least 4 out of the 6 tasks listed below:
    • with documentation which would include help text, user manuals, training materials, technical documentation, and with page content.
    • conducting reviews, establishing documentation standards, and existing project documentation.
    • gathering information concerning the features and functions provided by automated information systems from users and system developers.
    • preparing and coordinating any required illustrations and diagrams.
    • designing the layout of manuals and preparing final camera-ready copy.
    • preparing training materials.
