Shipping/Receiving Associate (AM/PM Available)
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Duties:
o Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and
customer requirements.
o Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
o Generate shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and
customs paperwork.
o Ensure all shipments are dispatched on time and in compliance with company
policies.
Receiving Duties:
o Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage.
o Verify that received items match purchase orders and update inventory records
accordingly.
o Record and report any discrepancies, damages, or defects to the appropriate
departments.
o Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any issues related to received
goods.
Inventory Management:
o Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels and product locations.
o Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and address any
discrepancies.
o Manage storage and organization of inventory to optimize space and accessibility.
Administrative Support:
o Maintain and update shipping and receiving logs and documentation.
o Provide support to the procurement and sales teams regarding inventory levels
and shipment statuses.
o Assist with the preparation of reports related to shipping, receiving, and inventory.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1-3 years warehouse experience preferred
Steel toes and safety glasses environment
Manufacturing and inventory experience a plus
Able to lift 50lbs
Looking for a self-starter who likes to prioritize tasks and pays attention to detail
Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Ability to adapt and accept change of direction from Supervisor based on ever-changing priorities
Working Conditions:
This position requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
The work environment may include exposure to warehouse conditions, including varying
temperatures and noise levels.
