THE JOB
Reporting to General Manager, the Sales Representative – Assembled Products will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a deep understanding of our product offerings, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Business Development:
  • Identify and target potential customers in various industries requiring wood packaging and other manufactured products.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and other sales activities.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Develop a list of potential customers that are aligned with Kings Wood Products sales strategy
Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Product Knowledge and Expertise:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company's assembled pallet and box products, including materials, manufacturing processes, and applications.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitors' offerings.
  • Communicate technical product information effectively to clients.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, leads, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Meet with Sales Manager to discuss sales forecasts and updates
  • Monitor sales metrics and analyze performance data to identify areas of opportunity
Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support sales efforts.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and industry events as required.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Proven experience as a Sales Representative, preferably in the packaging, manufacturing, or logistics industries.
  • Experience in selling assembled pallet and box products or similar industrial products is a strong asset.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency and willingness to use CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and their own reliable vehicle for daily use (travelling between various client locations and offsite meetings on a regular basis).
WORK CONDITIONS
  • Most of the work will be conducted outside of the office, driving to visit clients and potential customers at their various worksite locations. This may include industrial facilities, warehouses, construction sites, and offices.
  • When in the office, the majority of work will be done over the phone with prospects and customers.
  • Meetings with clients or attending industry events may require working evenings or weekends.
  • This position typically requires the successful candidate to work independently, managing their own schedules and prioritizing activities; this requires strong self-discipline and time management skills.
  • May need to carry product samples, brochures, or other materials, which can involve some physical exertion, can lift greater than 50lbs.
  • The role may require walking through large facilities, standing for extended periods, and occasionally moving around heavy or bulky product samples.
