POSITION SUMMARY

The Process Improvement Lead will lead the coordination and leading of methods to reduce costs, improve productivity and increase customer satisfaction at Mobis Parts Canada. This individual will conduct cycle time analysis and other system audits to verify current production rates and target potential improvements, as well as investigate procedural improvements. He/she will also work with various teams to improve the working environment and product throughput. The Process Improvement Lead will create training initiatives to increase the company's awareness of continuous improvement and drive a business transformation plan resulting in improved processes and company growth.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate with company staff on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze departmental workings, determining areas of improvement in quality standards and assurance
  • Audit current procedures
  • Create metrics, and analyze data.
  • Make recommendations in the areas of customer standards, quality assurance, and efficiency, and create SOP's
  • Communicate with employees and management about the processes and improvements
  • Create and conduct formal training courses for employees on the changes or developments
  • Present ideas and plans for process improvement, providing data and/or metrics to support the initiatives
  • Schedule meetings and gain the support of supervisors and managers prior to the implementation of new or changed procedures
  • Work to engage employees at MOBIS and overcome resistance to the changes in their everyday duties
  • Liaise with the company accounting department to assist in the development of cost cutting strategies
  • Following the implementation of processes, continually advertise any gains; either verbally at employee meetings or by written emails
  • Promote and facilitate work flow analysis and set out the standards for employees in order to achieve the target goals
  • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure that staff are meeting set expectations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a Logistics, Warehousing or Operations environment
  • Must be proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Must be team oriented and customer service focused
  • Proven ability to create and execute project plans that achieve identified targets
  • Ability to produce succinct reports/presentations to communicate the status of assigned projects/tasks
  • Strong leadership abilities; able to lead effective meetings
  • Quality control background, including problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated diplomacy and professionalism
