The Security Supervisor oversees the Security employees on duty and enforces security/safety procedures, guidelines, and service standards to protect all guests, employees and company assets of REAL. The Security Supervisor works collaboratively with REAL departments, clients, promoters, and emergency services (Police, Fire, EMS, and First Aid Contractors).
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Perform and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Security Division by:
- Ensuring adequate supervision of employees
- Assigning and positioning work locations
- Preparing reports; distributing uniforms; coaching and training on proper processes/protocols and promptly reporting any disciplinary concerns to management.
- Guards all transfers/deposits of monies/assets
- Ensures liquor laws are being enforced
- Conducts bag searches
2. Inspect work to ensure it meets specification and standards by:
- Investigating incidents, addressing complaints, and compiling data to recommend solutions
- Ensuring doors are appropriately secured both indoors and outdoors throughout the campus
- Recording and tracking event capacity numbers
3. Assist Manager in planning and preparing employee work schedules.
Performs other duties on when required.

Requirements
WHAT IT TAKES

- Must be at least Nineteen (19) years of age.
- Grade twelve (12) education is required or GED equivalent preferred.
- Must have valid Serve-It-Right (SIRs) certification
- Current First Aid certification.
- Formal training and/or work experience in the field of security services and/or crowd control.
- Previous experience supervising security employees is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to change.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
- May work odd or long hours at a time to complete operational requirements, projects or to participate in or coordinate evening and off-hour activities.
- Excellent leadership skills with the proven ability to lead and motivate team members.
- Note that this position is an in-scope position under the RWDSU Collective Agreement.

- The successful candidate must also possess and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check (CRC)
- Valid Driver's License must be held and maintained for this position.
