POSITION SUMMARY:
The Carpenter will contribute to the company's mission by delivering precise, high-quality craftsmanship in the repair and rebuilding of properties affected by damage. This role requires ensuring that all construction work adheres to safety protocols, industry standards, and the companys commitment to helping clients restore their properties efficiently and cost-effectively, minimizing disruptions to their daily lives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpret blueprints and sketches to plan restoration projects and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials such as wood, engineered wood, and lightweight steel for repairs.
- Construct and repair structural elements, including floors, walls, roofs, and foundations, for damaged properties.
- Install and repair finishing components like doors, stairs, moldings, and cabinetry during restorations.
- Perform maintenance and renovations on residential and commercial properties affected by damage.
- Supervise apprentices and team members to ensure safety and efficiency on-site.
- Assist with cost estimates and project budgets as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year of work experience in the position
- Languages: Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
