We are looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
The Truck and Transport Mechanic reports directly to the Shop Supervisor and/or Terminal Manager. This shift runs from Sunday to Thursday, 3:00PM - 11:30PM. Responsibilities include duties such as ensuring trucks and trailers are maintained in accordance with the Caron Transportation Maintenance Manual by inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing all systems and components of transport trucks and trailers to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
- Use, competently, both hand and power tools in order to carry out repairs according to manufacturer's specifications.
- Read and understand work orders, task procedures, and interpret technical manuals.
- Write work orders and diagnose the cause of failures.
- Mentor and assist apprentices.
- Perform inspections as per the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program only if licensed to do so.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

Qualifications:
- Journeyman or Apprentice with 3+ years directly related experience.
- CVIP License will be considered an asset.
- Scheduling Flexibility.
