Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Billing Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing subscription changes such as expansions, contractions, discounts, renewals, churn, upsells, and cross-sells. This role involves accurately processing and tracking changes in the billing system, coordinating with sales and finance teams, and responding to administrative inquiries from sales representatives. The specialist will also contribute to improving processes, increasing efficiency, and enhancing the customer experience as we scale.
Responsibilities.
- Process subscription changes, including expansion, contraction, discounts, renewal, churn, upsells, and cross-sells, accurately in the billing system.
- Respond to and resolve billing related inquiries and administrative requests from sales representatives.
- Manage the tracking of all subscription modifications and customer requests via the company's ticketing system to ensure full visibility and accurate record keeping.
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to verify subscription details and billing adjustments before processing.
- Assist with the implementation and improvement of internal processes related to subscription management, to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with improving the customer experience in subscription handling as we scale.
Qualifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in billing, finance operations, or a related administrative role, preferably in a SaaS business.
- Familiarity with billing and CRM systems (Chargebee, Stripe and HubSpot experience an asset).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with sales, finance and other teams.
- Ability to problem-solve and identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
