Merchandising Coordinator
As a Merchandising Coordinator you are responsible for the lifecycle of a product including but not limited to coordinating and supporting, pricing, ad proofing, inventory management, and purchase orders as needed. You will work closely with the Buying team and Business units of your product category to implement and support all business initiatives for products. As well, you will provide support and guidance to the stores and internal departments as needed.
Responsibilities:
To provide support to applicable product category buyers and business units. This includes but is not limited to:
new item listings,
pricing,
ad proofing,
inventory management,
space planning
purchase orders, as needed.
facilitate and resolve issues and challenges reported by stores and internal departments.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Adapts easily to change.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Sound judgment and ability to effectively problem solve as required.
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
Highly organized and able to multitask effectively and work under changing priorities.
Ability to exercise professional judgment, delegate and follow-up.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 1 year of outstanding Merchandising Support experience.
Sound knowledge of Supply Chain, Point of Sale and AS400.
Experience with distributions, new item setup, EDI, Branch Catalogue and Scanned Based Trading.
Solid understanding of product categories, product hierarchies and data structure.
Basic pricing and promotion skills.
Employees will be scheduled 40 hours per week and will typically work a standard schedule of Monday to Friday.
