The Civil Construction Superintendent will provide on-site direction, coordination, and supervision to ensure completion and quality of civil work on our multi-family residential construction site. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a working knowledge of various civil and residential construction means and methods
Your contributions to the team:
- Motivate and direct multiple civil crews on a large-scale Development site, in the Campbell River area.
- Interpret plans, specifications and relay proper direction to crew.
- Liaison with all building construction trades on site regarding scheduling and access.
- Direct and manage subcontractors.
- Assure compliance with the project construction schedule and budgets
- Uphold the Company safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ensure project materials and workmanship meet the project quality standards
- Use best efforts to resolve any scheduling challenges/disputes between on-site subcontractors and suppliers
What you need to be successful:
- Minimum 10 years of civil construction experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience overseeing project sites/civil crews is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Understanding of methodology and terminology in the civil construction industry
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and other construction drawings
- Working experience in earthworks and utility installation
- A track record of continual growth, advancements and accomplishments in the construction field
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Ability to travel and work on various job sites at different territorial locations
