Cascadia Metals is seeking a Junior Sales Analyst to work out of our Edmonton branch. You will play a key role in providing market trends and competitive industry insights, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to help guide business decisions and improve sales strategies, and assisting our senior sales representatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze sales data, performance metrics, and industry insights to provide actionable recommendations for improving sales strategies.
  • Create regular sales reports and dashboards to communicate trends, performance, and opportunities to the sales team and management.
  • Assist in managing customer relationship management (CRM) systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.
  • Communicate critical data findings, trends, and actionable insights to the leadership team effectively and translate complex data into clear, impactful presentations and recommendations.
  • Interface with department managers to collect data on company trends and recommend improvements required for customer-facing initiatives.
  • Assist and support sales representatives with data entry and insights into account management.
  • Participate in sales calls and business development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business/Communications or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and draw meaningful conclusions to support decision-making.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, experience with CRM systems an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven strategic thinking skills - understanding market performance, translating insights into opportunities, and developing clear recommendations.
  • Ability to identify issues, find solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
