About the Role:
As a member of the Clinical Leadership Team, the Clinical Supervisor – Supportive Housing is accountable for providing clinical direction and oversight, program planning, programming, recruitment support and direct supervision of staff as well as participating in on-call supports on a rotational basis.
This role will work collaboratively with the Clinical Leadership team in support of the Agency's Supportive Housing programs. Previous experience with supportive housing interventions is essential to this role; experience in community based work is an asset.

Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday (days), with evening and weekend and evening work required on a rotational/regular to supervise and support staff teams
- Participation in a mandatory clinical 'on call' rotation is also required, as a shared responsibility of the Clinical Leadership team

Qualifications:
- Completion of a BSW or other University Degree relevant to mental health, addiction or Social Services
- Minimum of 1 years' direct clinical work with individuals experiencing addiction and concurrent mental health issues required
- Registration with a professional college (i.e. OCSWSSW or CRPO) required
- Previous experience in supportive housing interventions mandatory
- Experience providing clinical supervision and team leadership
- Strong knowledge of addictions theory and practice, withdrawal management, peer-based service delivery, and current best practices – particularly concurrent and trauma-informed
- Experience in community-based work a strong asset
- Knowledge of ABI, developmental issues, medical complexity an asset
- Lived experience related to addictions and/or mental health an asset
- Certified Addictions Counsellor or equivalent would be an asset
- CSC Clearance conducted by PWGS Canada
- Standard First Aid/CPR Level C
- Valid G driver's license and Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
- Own transportation/reliable vehicle required
- Flexible schedule as required to support program delivery
- Must be able to attend work (travel to Residential Centres) within an hour of notification, when on call
Role Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision
- Oversee Supportive Housing staff including:
- Supporting professional development of clinical staff through routine supervision
- Providing coaching, feedback, mentoring, and targeted use of supervision as required
- Complete probationary and annual performance appraisals for all supervisees in consultation with Clinical Manager - Supportive Housing
- Administrative management including oversight of case noting, service events, reporting and target achievement
- Participate in new staff recruitment in conjunction with the HR Manager and the Clinical Manager – Supportive Housing
- Build and maintain high performance teams
- Guide clinical decision-making and manage high-risk situations
- Provide on call support and crisis supervision on “off hours”, on a rotational basis, as required
- Facilitate team meetings
- Participate in team and portfolio meetings
- Support and enhance a culture of openness and mutual respect within and across teams
- Attend monthly Clinical Leadership Team meeting and associated events/meetings
- Participate in a support/development plan
- Provide coverage for the Clinical Manager during short term absences (holiday coverage, etc.); take on necessary responsibilities and support agency and program decision making
Ongoing Program Development for Housing Services
- Conduct onboarding, orientation, and training for staff and residents
- Support staff in utilizing a TC approach to decision making and interventions
- Work alongside the STC Leadership Team, while utilizing the TC approach, to support program development
- Work alongside Leadership and Joint Health and Safety committee to ensure program and location safety
Administrative
- Oversee/complete staff scheduling
- Maintaining supply inventory and ordering practices
- Complete regular clinical file audits
- Maintain thorough and accurate supervisions notes and files
- Participate in quality assurance processes such as accreditation and the implementation of program outcome measurement tools and reporting of results (i.e. client satisfaction surveys, retention results, etc.)
- Sign off hours for electronic payroll
