AWC Water Solutions Ltd. specializes in providing integrated water, wastewater treatment plants and many other specialized industrial packaged solutions. We offer clients advanced in-house engineering & design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions.

AWC Water Solutions is looking to appoint an experienced Purchasing Agent. The successful applicant will have a solid background in executing effective procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and strong skills in negotiation and organization are desirable.

Overview:

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for executing procurement activities, ensuring effective purchasing decisions, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Execute and manage purchase orders for goods and services.

· Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers, seeking advantageous agreements.

· Ensure timely delivery of goods and services by tracking orders, managing expediting, and communicating with suppliers.

· Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and related data.

· Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth procurement processes.

· Conduct Supplier Performance Management meetings with suppliers.

· Address and resolve supplier-related issues and discrepancies.

· Contribute to purchasing strategy development and implementation.

· Stay informed about market trends and new products or services.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.

· 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing role.

· Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

· Experience using QuickBooks and Power BI would be considered an asset.

· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
