Description
- Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, while ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals. Working closely with stakeholders, you will bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions, delivering insights that drive process improvements and enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for two concurrent projects, addressing diverse business and technological needs across different client groups.
- Engage with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their requirements by gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs.
- Develop and advise on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards to promote a consistent business analysis framework across the organization.
- Lead business process re-engineering initiatives to promote cost-effective service delivery approaches.
- Collaborate with I&IT management and stakeholders to monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure that business requirements are fully met.

- Conduct business modeling, including use case, data flow, and process modeling, ensuring alignment with both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of business analysis policies, best practices, and standards.
- Stay informed on emerging I&IT trends and technologies, ensuring that solutions are future-proof and scalable.
- Develop performance measures and traceability matrices to evaluate business analysis efforts and identify areas for improvement.

- Requirements Gathering and Documentation - Leads the gathering and documentation of business requirements, ensuring that the deliverables produced by the development teams fully align with and conform to business needs.
- Business Problem Assessment and Solution Identification - Conducts comprehensive business analysis to assess clients' business challenges and opportunities, documenting requirements in a way that enables the determination of technology solutions.
- Business Process Improvement - Proactively identifies opportunities for business improvement, advocating for alternative service delivery methods and efficiencies.
- Alignment with Project Management and Methodologies - Conducts business analysis at varying levels of detail, tailored to the project's phase, while aligning with the OPS Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture and Gating Process, and OPS Standard Systems Development Methodologies.
- Business and Data Modeling - Performs a range of business modeling activities, including use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, and business rules definition. Ensures non-functional requirements are clearly defined and integrated into project deliverables.
- Performance Measures and Evaluation - Develops key performance indicators (KPIs) for business analysis evaluation and ensures continuous follow-up to gauge the success of implementations and strategies.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Leadership - Oversees the UAT process, including defining acceptance criteria, reviewing test plans and scenarios, and ensuring end-to-end testing integrity. Where necessary, directly executes test cases to ensure system integrity and compliance with requirements.
- Technical Design and Documentation - Develops and designs comprehensive deliverables, including integration requirements, data schemas, and technical documentation. Also responsible for creating and executing the business's implementation and conversion strategies.
Data Migration Expertise (10%)
- Legacy Systems and Data Migration - Supports data migration activities, including the development of legacy system extract specifications, data cleansing requirements, and quality assurance testing to ensure data integrity.
Communication and Collaborative Skills (30%)
- Cross-Functional Team Liaison - Acts as a key liaison between cross-functional teams, including vendors, business partners, and internal stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and understanding of business and system requirements.
- Meeting Facilitation and Requirements Validation - Organizes and leads business and internal team meetings to identify, validate, and document business and system requirements, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation - Identifies and quantifies risks related to business and system requirements, project timelines, and quality, actively collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate potential issues.
- Project Coordination and Reporting - Coordinates various project aspects, including producing status reports, meeting minutes, issue logs, and ensuring that key decisions and progress updates are communicated to all relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Issue Resolution and Stakeholder Management - Monitors project progress, resolves challenges as they arise, and provides regular updates to I&IT management and client decision-makers. Leads team meetings, follows up on unresolved issues, and ensures stakeholder approval of deliverables.
