Vacasa is seeking a hard-working, energetic employee who is passionate about delivering personalized attention and helping us maintain our quickly growing portfolio of vacation homes. This person should have a willingness to jump in when needed and a knack for fixing things to ensure the needs of our properties are met.

While this position is considered seasonal, you may have the opportunity to obtain full-time employment based on your skill set and the company's growth.

This is a seasonal position. Employment dates begin as soon as 11/20/2024 and work through end of season on or around 04/15/2025 As a part-time, seasonal position, exact schedule and hours are varied based on the needs of the business and may fluctuate from one week to the next.

Compensation

  • $20 CAD / hour. Actual pay will vary based on a candidate's skill, experience, education and/or location.

What you'll do

  • Assist the operations team in Big White, BC, preparing homes for guest check in and check out
  • Frequently travel between units delivering supplies to housekeepers, aiding guests, and running errands
  • Pick up a vehicle in Kelowna to start the day, load the van with laundry and cleaning supplies and drive up to Big White Mountain.
  • Deliver clean laundry to housekeepers in homes around Big White Mountain
  • Gather and collect garbage from homes, then drop off to the transfer station located on the mountain
  • Pick up dirty laundry bags from housekeepers once they have finished cleaning homes
  • Maintain and replenish maintenance supplies and inventory
  • Complete a variety of maintenance tasks within a home such as appliance/ cable/ wifi troubleshooting, cleaning hot tubs, and replacing light bulbs
  • Meet and maintain Vacasa's Standard Unit Appearance, correcting inconsistencies in the homes you enter
  • Assist housekeeping as needed by completing cleans
  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with fellow regional team members and upper management team
  • Provide cross-coverage for your team members when necessary

Skills and Position Requirements

  • Valid BC driving license
  • Technical computer skills required on all forms of hardware - laptops, tablets and mobile devices
  • Professional in all forms of communications such as email, phone calls, video calls and texts
  • Ability to work well under pressure in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions
  • Highly responsive and reliable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Prior housekeeping experience a plus
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

    • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time
      • Reach overhead and below the waist
      • Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds

      • Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist
