Role Overview:
As the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and supporting the company's strategic goals. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will lead a dynamic team while managing the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and successful audits.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering professional development and high performance.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Budgeting and FP&A:
- Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and forecasts to support decision-making.
- ERP Management:
- Leverage Oracle ERP (or other relevant systems) to optimize financial operations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance system efficiency and reporting capabilities.
- Strategic Financial Support:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies.
- Provide insights and recommendations to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- CPA Designation is mandatory.
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS reporting.
- Proven experience in a financial leadership role with team management responsibilities.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP is preferred; familiarity with other ERP systems is also valued.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
